Mass protests in Maribor against the Mayor Franc Kangler who is considered by the citizens of Maribor to be corrupt, as well as against the local authorities, started last month, on November 26 and are still going on. Protests which in the very beginning gathered some 600 citizens have quickly turned into the so called „second Maribor rebellion“ and in the series of protests on December 3rd some 10 000 people have protested. Until now several dozens of police officers and protestors have been injured in these demonstrations and several hundred people have been arrested. Among other things slogans said „he is finished“,  „Zoki, you thief“, „rule of the people and not of the parties“ and other slogans demanding the removal of the leading politicians in Slovenia. One of the interesting slogans was also this one:

(90 of you, 200.000 of us. Fuck Off!)
